Pre-Adoption Counseling

If you are considering adopting from a foreign country or domestically out of the foster care system, you want to consider the possibility that your child has suffered from neglect or abuse. Unfortunately, that is a likely scenario, so you will want to be aware of how to prepare to be the awesome parent of a challenging child.

I provide pre-adoption counseling and provide information about how to set up your house to provide the best setting for your child and the basics of what you will need to know to parent that child.

Counseling is available to individuals and couples or to groups of parents from a community (same adoption agency or support group for example).
