A lot is written about Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD) and how devastating it can be. You can find many articles by therapists who most ably describe RAD and the importance of therapy for the child. Many wonderful blogs by parents describing their day-to-day experiences with a child beset by RAD are available. I want this blog to be something different.
This is the resource for parents of children with RAD, the parents of Challenging Children. This is where you can come and ask for help. Undoubtedly there are times when you simply do not know what to do next. You know, those are the times when your RADish is presenting you with the next extraordinary challenge and you simply do not know what to do. Use this blog as your resource. Go here and send me a description of your challenge. I will post it on the blog with my thoughts and suggestions. I will invite ideas from other readers who can provide their ideas as a comment to the blog posting. Let’s make this a community center for Parents of Challenging Children.
I have written many posts with practical suggestions for real everyday problems presented by RAD children. Those were all my ideas about what might interest you. Please take this opportunity to let me and other readers know exactly what you want to know. This is your opportunity to become even a stronger parent of your Challenging Child. Go for it!
